Leadershape-ers reunite

Education City LeaderShape 2012 graduates gathered Wednesday evening to spend some time with each other, reunite, and reminisce on the memories of the week-long LeaderShape retreat in January.

LeaderShape 2012 had sixty-one students from across all six campuses at Education City The intensive six-day program was devoted to strengthening leadership skills with a motto of ‘leading with integrity.’  Over the past 6 years, since LeaderShape’s inception in the Education City community, the program has made tremendous impact on the lives of students and their communities.

The LeaderShape 2012 reunion was held at the VCU atrium on Wednesday evening.  In spite of student’s busy schedules, especially owing to the fact that it was exam week, LeaderShapers came out to spend some time with each other.  They hung-out and shared some jokes and laughs.

LeaderShape 2012 On Site Coordinators put together a couple of activities that helped LeaderShapers revisit some of the core values of LeaderShape.

The highlight of the evening was two talks given by past LeaderShape graduates, Noor Barakat and Yasser Masood.  They inspired LeaderShape 2012 graduates by sharing their own stories, values and visions of leadership in their own lives.
