Once you have been accepted to a university/center at Hamad Bin Khalifa University you MUST inform your branch campus that you intend to live on campus. Your university will then provide us with your detailed information, which will be entered into our online system.
You will receive an e-mail informing you that you have been entered in the system and the housing application is now available for you to complete.

Complete the New Student Housing Application. Instructions can be found here. During the online application process, you will be asked to attach the following supporting documentation: photo, scanned color copy of your passport, proof of payment of damage deposit (QAR 2000) and reservation fee (QAR 1000) .
Housing assignments will begin in mid-June and we will likely have placements completed by the second week in July. You will receive notification of your placement and your roommate/apartment mate via the email provided in your application.
New students may begin to move in to the residence halls on August 22 after 8:30 AM. Any requests to arrive prior to this time must be submitted to for approval and will be charged at the Summer Housing daily rate. You will receive notification of the decision via email.
If you are interested in applying to live on campus, contact your branch campus (details below) to let them know of your intent. At that time, eligible students will have information forwarded to Qatar Foundation Housing and Residence Life and you will be contacted by the email provided to complete your online application and payment of housing fees.

HOUSING DESCRIPTION
Student housing in Qatar Foundation's residence halls currently provides shared accommodation in 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, located within the heart of campus. Two or three students share each bedroom, and every apartment has its own bathroom and kitchen. Every floor in the residence halls has a common laundry area and each building has on-site security, 24 hours a day. Students have wireless internet access in the residence halls. All halls have a student social room, open 24 hours a day. Some social rooms are equipped with computers and printers available for student use with Ethernet access.
Sustainable Learning Community
We also have a new living-learning community focused on Sustainability. All residents share a bedroom with one other roommate. Both males and females have the opportunity to participate in these communities. Hall Director and CDA programming are specifically around the theme of sustainability and developing a sustainable lifestyle. Private units will be available for single student occupancy when new residence halls are opened in 2012. These units will have private bathrooms for each student in a single gender environment. Each residence hall floor will have multiple kitchens and laundry rooms with lounges for study and social space. Apartments will consist of studio, one and two bedroom apartments. Each student will have their own private bedroom.
Each single gender complex will have an outside activity space and a convenience store. A mixed gender Residential Community Center will feature a coffee shop, dining services, Residence Life Office Space and a Community Learning Centre. This will enable students to work on projects, presentations and academic work in a mixed gender environment.
The new construction project will adopt both state of the art building principles and design to offer Hamad Bin Khalifa University students an extraordinary living and learning environment, intended to support their academic careers.

The damage deposit must be paid upon initial application and prior to move-in to the residence halls and is fully refundable upon moving out of the residence halls, provided the room has not undergone damage or does not require excessive cleaning in order to prepare it for the next occupant.
