HOW TO APPLY FOR HOUSING
As a New Student, How Do I Apply for Housing?
Once you have been accepted to a university/center at Education City you MUST inform your university that you intend to live on campus. Your university will then provide us with your detailed information, which will be entered into our online system.
You will receive an e-mail informing you that you have been entered in the system and the housing application is now available for you to complete.
Visit www.ecstudenthousing.com to fill out your housing application.
Complete the New Student Housing Application. Instructions can be found here. During the online application process, you will be asked to attach the following supporting documentation: photo, scanned color copy of your passport, proof of payment of damage deposit (QAR 2000) and reservation fee (QAR 1000) .
Housing assignments will begin in mid-June and we will likely have placements completed by the end of the first week in July. You will receive notification of your placement and your roommate/apartment mate via the email you provide in your application.

HOUSING DESCRIPTION
Student housing in Qatar Foundation's residence halls currently provides shared accommodation in 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, located within the heart of campus. Two students share each bedroom, and every apartment has its own bathroom and kitchen. Every floor in a residence hall has a common laundry area and each building has on-site security 24 hours a day. Students have wireless internet access in the residence halls. Most halls have a student social room, open 24 hours a day, which has computers and printers available for student use with Ethernet access.
Private units will be available for single student occupancy when new residence halls are opened in 2012. These units will have private bathrooms for each student in a single gender environment. Each residence hall floor will have multiple kitchens and laundry rooms with lounges for study and social space. Apartments to be built on the site will consist of studio, one and two bedroom apartments with each student having their own private bedroom.
Each single gender complex will have an outside activity space and a convenience store. A mixed gender Residential Community Center will feature a coffee shop, dining services, Residence Life Office Space and a Community Learning Centre. This will enable students to work on projects, presentations and academic work in a mixed gender environment.
The new construction project will adopt both state of the art building principles and design to offer Education City students an extraordinary living and learning environment, intended to support their academic careers.
