Welcome to Qatar Foundation Housing and Residence Life! We believe your college experience is about learning inside and outside the classroom. Involving yourself in the residence life community encourages personal growth, development of interpersonal skills, sustainable living practices and valuing diversity.

Our department has both professional and student staff dedicated to these learning outcomes and to making students feel welcome and comfortable in their home away from home.

We house traditional undergraduate students in a safe and clean living environment. Our students attend each of the six partner universities in Education City and the Academic Bridge Program, leading to a dynamic and diverse residence hall community representing over 50 different nationalities.

 

Our current housing units are one-, two- or three-bedroom fully furnished apartments with full kitchens.  We also have a new living-learning community focused on Sustainability.  Each apartment houses two, three, four or six students. All buildings are gender specific and residents must be respectful of the cultural expectations in Qatar.

 

Housing and Residence Life hires professional staff with training and experience, whose focus is to maximize the learning and development of a positive student experience by creating an educational focus in the residential environment.  In addition, peer leaders known as Community Development Advisors (CDAs) work to building community among residents on their floors by planning a wide range of educational and social events for residents multiple times a month.

The Assignment and Maintenance offices for Housing and Residence Life are located in FB3 on the ground floor. Please visit this location if you have questions regarding general maintenance or your housing assignment. The Residence Hall Director (RHD) and other management offices are located on the first floor of the Student Center. In addition, each RHD has an office space in one of their buildings' Social Rooms.
