Raine Attrach is a lovely local student who graduated this summer, class of 2011, after majoring in Culture and Politics at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar.

Raine knows the value of time, that’s why she invested every minute in her day, mornings, and afternoons on classes and student employment, or student organization meetings, while the evening was centered on assignments, extra curricular activities, and, of course, relaxing with friends like most of university’s students. Add to that, she was also the Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Yearbook.

Currently she is seeking a temporary job for a year or two in Qatar before applying abroad to continue her studies. Her passion for knowledge and studying doesn’t only stop at “taking”, but also “giving”. In the future, Reine wish to teach in a university; I imagine that it is definitely the most rewarding profession.

Looking back to her experience at Education City, specifically at Georgetown, makes her remember how incredible it was; we were offered once-in-a-lifetime opportunities that have definitely impacted my outlook on life.If she got the chance to go back in time, the only thing that she would have done differently will be appreciate the days a little more, even the slow ones; it's only been a few months since graduation and I can't believe how much I already miss it.

And guess what Reine’s fondest memory is? Getting accepted in Georgetown, from studying and having the chance to learn all that I did to travel and see the world with some of the most spectacular friends, faculty, and staff.

Any advice would you like to give to current or prospective students?

Education City is different in its own special way; make sure you enjoy every opportunity and obstacle thrown your way because it goes by so much faster than you expect.
