The Human Resources Directorate at Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development yesterday said that more than 1,000 CVs collected at the recent Qatar Career Fair had been sent to relevant directorates and business centres within QF for review and evaluation.
According to QF officials, a subsequent networking session will be held in mid-May, during which shortlisted candidates will be invited to meet their potential employers, sit for preliminary interviews, and further explore career paths they can pursue with Qatar Foundation.
QF saw exceptional success at the five-day fair, receiving about 2,000 resumes through its interactive booth at the year’s largest career development event designed to empower and develop Qatar’s national workforce.
Career counsellors from QF were available at its booth throughout the fair to impart useful career advice to interested individuals and guide them through application processes.
“As career counsellors to young Qataris, I believe it is our job as the Human Resources arm of QF to guide those who approached us for career advice and opportunities,” said Hassan Mohamed al-Hammadi, Executive Director, Human Resources Directorate. “This kind of turnout shows that we’re on the right path and has only strengthened our commitment to the future sustainability of Qatari human capital,” he said.
“The Qatar Career Fair is a great platform which provides ample opportunity for talented Qataris to reach their full potential,” said Ghanim al-Naimi, Director of Talent Sourcing & Development, Human Resources Directorate.
“This year, the high calibre and level of education and expertise of applicants seeking career opportunities at Qatar Foundation indicates that selection will be challenging, and we look forward to picking and moulding some of the best and the brightest Qataris,” he said.
